This painting was inspired by ancient warriors, ghosts caught forever in a cycle of war with the fires of hell raging all around these spirits of the past. This is an original artwork A3 size on 300 gsm glossy board, painted with automotive enamel paint. The painting is in a white frame stock with decorative metal corner protectors. The painting is under glass with, d/link hanging system. The frame is A2 size with A3 matte in a portrait style. This painting has a very different theme from my other artworks. I was looking at exploring the realm of fantasy and ghosts of ancient soldiers lost in battle, only to replay their torment in battle of wars that continue for eternity. The Trojan explores the visual story of anguish of those who died in battles long ago. The ancient warriors of the past gave their lives in honor of their king or queen and perished on the battlefield, only to return and wage war once again as ghosts. The fires of hell burn deep within their hearts; black and cold without remorse or feeling. I have attempted to portray in this painting the inhumanity of war and all of its senseless futility. The loss of life and its hardship; the ghosts of war remain in an endless cycle of battles never won.
