Virginia Bucknell was born in Australia. Virginia’s early paintings are inspired from her years of dance training and professional years as a dancer.
Virginia is predominately self taught. Since the 1980’s to date she has produced many paintings and continues to develop her style of art work.
Virginia chooses to paint images that inspire in her a peaceful feeling , a respite away from the stress of life with calming scenes of the beautiful landscapes and seascapes in the surrounding areas of greater Sydney and the Blue Mountains. She also works on dance and ballet paintings using pastel colors and showing a lot of movement in her Art. She does portraits on commission basis and a variety of contemporary paintings.
