Ornella Imber is a professional artist who has been living and working on the East coast of Tasmania in Beaumaris for the past 20 years. As an artist she aims to create beautiful pieces that evoke a sense of peace and harmony. Ornella’s use of colour, pattern and texture help to create paintings of exotic beauty. With painterly exuberance she produces images that will certainly brighten any area. She gains much inspiration from this idyllic part of the world in which she lives.
Ornella’s main artistic influences are Gustav Klimt because of his use of pattern, colour, intricate detail and feminine beauty, Frida Kahlo and Van Gogh for their painterly qualities and for the healing that art can bring. Ornella is a big believer in the healing power of art. She gains great peace and joy through painting and hopes that the viewer feels the same.
Ornella is a regular exhibitor of her art pieces. Ornella’s paintings are displayed in a number of venues around Tasmania. Ornella has studied Visual Art at University and has been practicing as an artist for over 20 years. She has shown her work in several collaborative and solo exhibitions. Ornella has paintings in collections locally, nationally and internationally. She is represented by Waubs Bay Gallery, Bicheno and displays her paintings at Zeps in Campbell Town.
