Louise Croese is a late blooming artist who previously used her education and creativity to understand and to express in words personal insights into a lifetime of complex, risk-taking behaviours. She has several books published. Louise started painting when she retired, keen to get out of her head and off her bottom at the computer – eager to express gratitude and relief to have arrived at a place that was playful, functional and ‘simply happy’.
Expressing herself on canvas, her love of words, of ideas, of diversity, her passion for social justice and a deep connection to Yeppoon, ‘Mother’ nature’s place of healing’, developed quickly into a passion to paint.
“Art is an authentic, playful expression of the simple, uncomplicated woman I have become; and joy of joys, it keeps me standing upright. I learned to live authentically and to love well by trial and error, a deep commitment to ‘getting there’, often shocking on the way.
My adventure with painting is not dissimilar. Ironically, it is my scary willingness to take risks that has developed my artistic pursuits most fruitfully.
All paintings are ready to hang, signed front and back and come with a Certificate of authenticity.
