About Lina Linton
I have been a practising artist for 32 years, a TAFE lecturer in Silver smithing, Drawing and Watercolour for 12 of those years and a private art teacher for approx 20 years. My works on paper are mainly archival pen and ink, with colour accent usually in inks, watercolour, gouache, or coloured pencil. They are usually large pieces for this medium sized A1 and larger, therefore quite time consuming to produce. Thematically, these conceptual works usually relate to our human connection as integral part of nature and the natural world we live in, philosophy and or mythology. I use varied symbols from different cultures, tribes, religions etc and enjoy the play with this philosophical eclecticism. Drawing and Watercolour are my areas of expertise and sometimes I like to simply do a relaxing and beautiful watercolour floral.
