Lesley Taylor, who signs her work pin100 (don’t ask her why, she won’t tell you) hopes that her sense of humour connects with you and that you enjoy her whimsical and some say ‘downright odd’ outlook
I work in acrylics, oil sticks, charcoals.
My work lately has mainly been figurative. As an actress, I’ve always been fascinated by faces and what they can express without words. I strive to produce images of the expressions which capture my imagination.
My paintings tell the stories that float around in my head, with small details that reveal themselves over time.
The images I create swing between abstraction and representation, memory and image and combine forces to blur the boundaries of meaning and allow you to interpret for yourself.”
