My artwork reflects my lifestyle. Headlong freefall. I race, as time allows, though theres never enough, between paint to prints, mosaic to sculpture, a side turn at drawing. Ceramics occasionally get a look in and back to paint with a preference for oils. Inspiration and sustenance is drawn from the outdoors, particularly the love and uniqueness of the Australian bush with an insatiable desire to capture the light, the fleeting glimpse and contemplative moment in time when you are moved – compelled to….
As always, the next (or 3) are bubbling away, itching to emerge as visualised with the competing necessities of daily life/work, the ‘in progress’ still uncompleted (there are so many). The bottom line I try to remind myself when its not going to plan is that I enjoyed the process, immersed, where time stands still, heedless of the clock ticking away, transported within another realm.
