I live in the central west of NSW. I work in a variety of mediums including acrylics, oils, watercolour and mixed media, seeking inspiration from the surrounding environment. Art is an escape from the chaos of our sometimes harried lives, it nourishes, invigorates and brings joy and peace.
As well as studying Fine Arts at TAFE NSW, I have education qualifications including a Masters and a PhD in Adult and Flexible Learning. I worked in education for many years across all levels from Primary to University, but have returned to my first love, artistic pursuits.
I am currently enjoying exploring acrylics as an incredibly versatile medium. I employ a loose, textured, expressive and free flowing brush style that seeks to capture movement and the transient nature of our environment.
I have a large garden that provides inspiration for my art. Recent rain means that our small acreage is now green, green, green and our tanks are full of water! It is amazing! I rejoice in the ability to pursue what I love and am even more enthused and overjoyed when people love my paintings enough to purchase them. I paint a wide variety of subject matter but love painting florals. I love the interplay of varying colours and textures and seek to capture movement and life.
