As a self-taught, emerging artist, Julie has been having the time of her life experimenting with different styles and mediums.

Julie started painting in later life as she worked full time from the age of 14, marrying young and raising two fine sons. Money was always tight so she had to put her greatest love, apart from her family, on the backburner. Finally, in 2012, she was able to quit work and concentrate on her beloved art. She taught herself to use acrylics, a medium she had never used before and she found her niche.
Julie paints what suits her mood on the day, tending though, to work on a series of the same subject. She doesn’t limit herself to just one subject!
Julie paints her subjects as she perceives them. The style she has developed over the last 6-7 years painting, and the love of her craft, shows in each and every artwork. She doesn’t consider that she is very clever at art speak but, she paints from my heart and hope it shines through.
Julie considers it an honour and a privilege when someone selects her art to make their own.
Julie currently sells her artwork all over the world and has been a finalist in several Art prizes including The Milburn Art Prize 2016, Lethbridge Gallery 2016 & 2017, Small Works Award Brunswick Gallery 2017, Sydney World Polo Championship Art Awards 2017, Morris Art Prize 2018, Contemporary Art Awards, 2017 & 2018 & 2019, Rotary Art Spectacular 2016, 2018 & 2019, Facets of Fairholme Art Prize 2019 and the Dean Cogle Portrait Prize.
