Through the medium of paint, Julie seeks to use colour, texture, and form to create a visually stimulating image. It is also a way for her to develop her own unique artistic voice.
In her work, Julie tries to utilize various colour harmonies and surface textures to visually engage the audience. She also uses it as an opportunity to expand her abilities through constant experimentation.
Julie paints her subjects as she perceives them. The style she has developed over the last 6-7 years painting, and the love of her craft and colour, shows in each and every artwork. She considers it an honour and a privilege when someone selects her art to make their own.
Julie currently sells her artwork all over the world and has been a finalist in several Art prizes including The Milburn Art Prize 2016, Lethbridge Gallery 2016 & 2017, Small Works Award Brunswick Gallery 2017, Sydney World Polo Championship Art Awards 2017, Morris Art Prize 2018, Contemporary Art Awards, 2017 & 2018 & 2019, Rotary Art Spectacular 2016, 2018 & 2019, Facets of Fairholme art prize 2019 and Finalist for the upcoming 2020 Victor Harbour Art Prize.
