Joanne Stead is a self-taught artist and poet from Tamworth NSW.
She describes herself as a “mum, artist and life enthusiast” drawing her inspiration from the magic of the everyday. “I believe that two of most important things in life are a sense of belonging and a sense of purpose,” Joanne says. “Feeling that you belong connects you to others, and feeling that you offer something meaningful, connects you to society, so to have both is critically foundational. Rediscovering and reconnecting to my artistic side has made me feel like I am truly honouring my unique essence, and it has been a major turning point for me.”
