Multi media artist working over printmaking, painting and collage. Exploring Australian seascapes, landscapes and the urban architecture and landmarks of Canberra.
Award winning printmaker, working across lino, screen printing, painting and collage. My work explores seascapes and landscapes with ink and oils. I have lived in country NSW, Sydney and now calling Canberra my home, with hubby, kids and menagerie. It’s a busy creative life, from a home studio and screen printing at the Megalo Print Studios. My work has developed towards minimalism. A stillness has emerged, abstract collages and minimal paintings using a palette knife. I entered an all white oil painting into the Wynne 2019. ‘Bullock’s Hill on the Snowy Mountains Highway’… while not selected it was a turning point in my work. After years of painting seascapes in gouache, (some which looked like I was in a bit of a hurry) who would have thought there was a white square there.
Joint winner of the inaugural Sheridan Evans award for artwork relating to ocean pools, for my lino print ‘Pools of Sydney’. Highly commended in the Waverley Art Prize 2017, for my lino print ‘George Baldessin meets Andy Warhol’.
