Evelina lived in Saint Peterburg where she studied Drawing and Painting, art conservation and fresco restorations. She travelled around Europe absorbing the influences of artists past and present. This exposure to the diverse, rich, and vast cultures of centuries of global art and music continued to mould her inherent artistic qualities.
In 1995 Evelina moved to Florence, Italy where she studied Fine Art at the Academia Italiana di Arte, Moda e Design. She then joined workshops with artists of differing styles to investigate other techniques. In 1999 she opened her own studio in Florence becoming a professional artist mainly working in oil paint and mixed media but also developing her special technique of miniature painting on mother of pearl, and thus creating her first jewelery collection. Her paintings began to sell in various shows leading to several exhibitions and shows in Italy, UK and Japan.
She was chosen to represent the quality of Italian art and craftsmanship by Promofirenze (Special Agency of the Chamber of Commerce of Florence) from which she was invited to participate with her paintings and painted jewelry collections at art exhibitions and art fairs in Europe and abroad, such as the UK, UEA and especially Japan.
Currently her work is included in collections in Australia, UK, Italy, Ireland, USA, Canada and New Zealand.
After her many years of both formal education in art and a wealth of cultural experiences in various locations, Evelina relocated to Melbourne where the local vibrancy and excitement infused increased energy and colour into both her work and her life.
Evelina’s previous classical training merged with elements that she found in her new home and environment and which have resulted in a continued artistic evolution that morphs subject matter colour and tonality.
