Proud to be a Shortlisted Artist for the ALA 2020 ART PRIZE.

(Please note – frame displayed not included)
The inspiration for ‘Velvet Hour’ comes from exploring and making field studies of the vast open space across the ocean where it meets the landscape and the intersection of tones that intertwine and morph as time passes. In the studio I extract and rearrange key elements from my studies to form a delicate balance. The palette is made up of various blue, green and violet tones with a tinge of turquoise hidden away to be discovered!

This beautiful work is made all the more intriguing by it’s textured and free spirited evolution that would be a wonderful addition to any space with soft textured furnishings or perhaps a minimalist environment where you want an artwork that will ‘POP.’

It is created from a combination of considered marks referenced from field studies using acrylic paints and line work in pencil and marker.

This original painting is signed on the front cheryl H., with full signature and titled on the back. It is also wired ready to hang.
Commission enquiries for this collectable and popular art are most welcome.
