The emphasise of this semi abstract work is the sky. Inland Australia is known for its big skies with vast

stretches of land laying slightly undulating and submissive under the drama of its vibrant hues and cloud

formations.  This oil and mixed media painting has been inspired by the New England and Dorrigo landscape,

where the light is so intense in the late afternoon skies.  This juxtaposed to the virtual iridescent greens of the

pasturelands create a delightful optical dance to the viewer.

In some ways, unconsciously, I think I may have been channelling Van Gogh when painting this work.
