Additional Information

This is an original acrylic painting on board professionally framed in a contemporary grey and black

frame and ready to hang.

“The Supper Had Long Passed, Yet the Washing Up Remained” is an allegory on everyday life, using The Last Supper as

an historical reference. The painting is set against a turbulent Renaissance backdrop, full of poignant symbolism. It was a

finalist entry in the EMSLA National Still Life Award.

Even though there are these grand and tragic events over time, the one constant man has to deal with are the basic chores

of life; the great leveller that humanises all of us no matter what class one has risen from.

Whether it gets accomplished by you or the hired help, it is always in the foreground of our lives.
