Additional Information

The ancient city of Orvieto was a major centre of Etruscan civilization. Orvieto was annexed by Rome in the third century BC. Because of its site on a high and steep volcanic rock the city was virtually impregnable. After the collapse of the Roman Empire its defensible site gained new importance and the episcopal seat was transferred from Bolsena. At the end of the 13th century the population of the Orvieto region numbered about 30,000. The population of the ancient cliff top town is now around 3,000, whereas the entire Orvieto population, incorporating the valley township and surrounding areas is over 20,000.

There are three image sizes. Each one is printed on 300gsm cotton rag paper. There are three corresponding framed sizes which include a timber frame in a choice of five colours (see image); a glass window and a white mat board.

As we do not carry stock, and only print and frame each item to order, please allow between 7 to 10 days for shipment from our local factory.
