Additional Information

There a a large number of salt lakes and abandoned salt or gypsum mines in South Australia. Some pink, some blue, some green and this one on the way to Daly Heads, Yorke Peninsula is an array of pastel shades of blue and soft green The pastel shades of the water looked like something from a bygone era, and I am persuaded that this was a flourishing gypsum mine in its hey day. The remains of a beautiful life could be seen, old machinery, deep pits, and vast piles of white gypsum here and there. I photographed cautiously as the scene was intensely bright. The plants growing on the edge were a type of red salt bush such a contrast to the pastel shades of the water. Very soft and calming and will look lovely on white or dark walls.

This original image is a Limited Edition of two prints only.

The photographic fine art paper is  museum grade, acid free, using quality inks of the highest quality.

This print requires framing.

As all my prints are custom printed just for you, please allow 10 to 14 days for print to arrive at your door.
