Additional Information

This work is an oil painting capturing Tea Tree Bay on Noosa's National Park.  It was captured on a Winter's day after a walk to the bay with my children. I wanted to capture the reflections in the water and the sense of the breaking wave as it approached the shore. The paint is deliberately loosely and quickly applied to add to the sense of movement. Inspired by Australian Impressionists of the past, this work is an investigation into light and colour. The work is painted on board and is professionally framed in a floating frame (the work sits level to the frame but does not touch the frame itself).
