Take The Next Exit

An original abstract painting, created by a Cartographer with 30+ years of mapping experience.

Mapping Melbourne is a project I am currently working on and I have always shown an interest in driving and freeway driving is so enjoyable. This piece was inspired by road signs, walls, yellow/black and red/white poles along the Westgate Freeway at the exit to the Airport prior to the Westgate Bridge heading south.

The map is oriented to North and approximately to scale.

The side of the wooden panel is unpainted. Several coats to achieve a quality matt finish. Signed on the front and authenticated on the back.
