Additional Information

Australian Birdlife created with mixed media on canvas, stretched and ready to hang. Products used are:  Daniel Smith Iridescent watercolours and golden ground, Matisse structure and flow acrylics, Liquitex High Gloss, Tissue paper which was mixed with high gloss medium to form a pulp and palette knifed onto the canvas to form the birds’ body which gave a textured effect which the artist was wanting.

All Australians will know the pure white, large bird with the dramatic sulphur crest which is a  bird that looks so angelic!  But then when they call, their squawk could almost deafen people! They unfortunately can destroy a lot of wood verandahs with their strong beak! they also love to get into the rubbish bins. They are clever, beautiful looking birds, and they are all around our home living in the beautiful quiet village of Bundeena NSW AUSTRALIA. A village that nestles on the waters edge of the Royal National Park on the outskirts of Sydney CBD.

I hope you like the iridescent colours and the soft body of the birds which my aim is to give the painting texture and a feeling you want to reach out and touch the grain and lines and watch the light source change the colours of the iridescent leaves in the background.  I also hope you see the heart in this art work.

I give all of myself to my Art and I know when you purchase one of my pieces of Art you will feel the love ooze through into your home keeping you safe and happy.
This particular painting took about 2 weeks to complete. But I really think it is worth the hours as it is very special indeed.
