Additional Information

Acrylic on canvas – 46cm (W) x 61cm (H) x 3.7cm (D)

This painting is part of my new series exploring, on the surface, found dead leaves and the shapes that are created by their curled forms. We often step over, step on dead leaves, yet each one holds unique beauty, and as it decays, gives life to those who are yet to grow. The title of the work can also be read another way – Still, Beautiful. If we take the time to be still and look at our surroundings we can find beauty in the smallest, forgotten things.

This is an original artwork on canvas, the edges are painted plain colours (dark peacock blue and dark teal green). The less polished way in which the edges are painted is intentional, as it adds to the organic and original nature of the piece. It is finished with gloss varnish to enhance and protect the work. It has wire across the back and is ready to hang.

*In situ photos are not to scale and are for decorative purposes.
