Things they say and do

A series of accidental alignments

A combination of random abstract lines are serendipitously placed alongside snippets of comic illustrations, photos of mangled car accidents, and portraits of celebrities to name but a few. These abstract lines cross over to the appropriated image and create newly formed focal view points with almost seamless paths in the artwork. Some are more apparent than others.

Overall it maybe suggested that these newly created viewpoints were constructed and placed purposely, however they were not. The juxtapositions are simply a serendipitous act of alignment – an accidental alignment. It could also be said that this is a form of Abstract Expressionism with a pinch of Pop, rolled up into Dadaism.
