A feature of everyday living in regional NSW is the number of roadkill, which remain on the road leading to other wildlife feeding on road kill are killed as a result. In this painting, a wedge tail eagle sits on its prey, a kangaroo. The wedge tails are large birds, which travel with their mate for life. They are majestic to see and hesitate to fly off, which is not out of bravery but inability to take off as they are heavy from their feast. This watercolour painting was grand champion 2015, Eugowra Ag Show.
