Additional Information

River Watch is a biggish oil painting, on canvas, stretched onto good quality stretcher bars. It is unframed and ready to hang.

Inspired in part by memories of Scotland, it depicts an ethereal landscape scene. I nearly always include an animal in my work as a way of paying homage to them, and also to remind us humans that we are not the only species that matter (if you are reading this you probably don’t need me to tell you. Animals, and in particular dogs have been such a big part of my life, I like to honour that.

I have two distinct painting styles – one abstract and one more realistic.  The connection between the two is that they all relate to dreaming and trance like states.  I seek to express the stuff that lies beyond our immediate consciousness, so there is always an element of mystery to my work.
