Additional Information

This painting adds a splash of bright blue to any room and may prompt a trip to a marina to buy ice cream. I think of Streets ice cream stalls on the marina with lots of kids making noise. See my gallery image for a suggested virtual frame idea for the painting.

I was inspired by the way the afternoon sun reflected on two fishing boats anchored off Queensland’s Fraser Island. There is nothing like Queensland light on a blue-sky day, while the classic lines of the vessel Rosina contrast well the modern red and white boat moored beside.

Acrylic paint and protected with 3 coats of varnish gloss on stretch canvas frame (unframed). The edge of the canvass frame has been painted in a bright blue to compliment the subject.
