Additional Information

During the painting process, I begin to think what to call my work. With abstract it evolves as I go along….what begins as one thing inevitably ends up being something completely different. This is what I love about abstract art – it transports you to the land of endless possibilities.
This piece initially reminded me of hell…..yep, perhaps I was having a bad day! I always try to turn a negative into a positive, so with this in mind, I began to look at this painting in that light. The name that I finally settled on, Promised Land, is the complete opposite of hell. It’s actually living in a more spiritual world full of colour and happiness. Acrylic on stretched canvas with black edges.
