Additional Information

When Im not painting, I’m potting. I divide my time between the two, and it’s hard to say which I love most.  The way that I integrate the two is to paint on my large ceramic plates (check out my Instagram and Facebook feeds), and to create paintings that incorporate ceramics, bowls, teapots and even my famous Dogimals. This is a classic example of integration.  Here you will see various tools of the trade, plus some end products, AND the bugs that I come across living in the studio with me.  Actually this painting was originally inspired by a large spider crawling across the studio floor .. am I the only Scot who is not afraid of them? Bugs are so vitally important to our eco system, it’s nice to honour them too.

This is a painting for potters or for pottery fans ..it is a large joyful oil painting on a birch panel, black gessoed edges,  and ready to hang.
