Original artwork painted with acrylics onto a quality, stretched canvas over a wooden frame. All sides of the canvas are painted with the flow of the theme, as all my canvas are.
I don’t know what it is that draws me to these amazing sea mammals but they have always been a favourite of mine. Last year I discovered that Orcas can be see off the coast line of Australia and that is what bumped them up on the list of artwork to paint. I really wanted this one to be fine art in detail and I especially wanted the view to be above and below sea level. I love these sea mammals, they were always on my artwork list as a must do.
I started off with an image design board showing multiple photo’s of Orcas then played with multi sketches to create the dimensions and scene that I wanted to achieve. This artwork design is mine and not a recreation of one image from a particular photographer. I just wish I could create this in still life!
I hope this artwork pleases a buyer just as much as it has pleased me for creating, studying and spending lots of time working on the detail.
