Additional Information

The inspiration to this original oil painting is my work commute from Kiama to up the hills in Robertson. The beauty of this misty land captures me. I drive through Jamberoo, then continue on Jamberoo Mountain Road. It is a magnificent way to see the Southern Highlands taking this route from Kiama. As you pass the rainforest, the landscape totally changes as farms with horses and cattle open the view to the eye.

This painting is a result of many experiments using stitching and fabrics underneath the paint. As a hidden world behind the painting, the textures of wrinkled fabric and zig-zag stitches slowly appear under the colour.

Heavy weight Belgian linen works really well for experimenting with textures and oil. This has made the artwork is extremely durable and strong as many layers of paint are used to help bring the the chunky weave pattern to life.

It comes in a beautiful charcoal colour floating frame.

Ready to hang.
