Additional Information

Gum leaves of all colours shine here in my latest painting “Myriad” – so named for obvious reasons!
Living in a rural environment allows me to take in the beauty of tremendous eucalypts every day. The slight menthol scent and the sound of rustling (not to mention the squawking of so many birds) in the breeze is a joy to behold.

The leaves of MYRIAD has been painted with a palette knife – layers of pigment have been applied, resulting in a richly textured impasto with a loosely painted background. The colour of course is liberal – all manner of greens, turquoise, blues, purples, pinks, apricots and browns have been used here without reservation.

This artwork has been framed in solid hardwood, however, if you would prefer to purchase without the frame, please let me know. The price will reduce by $100 to $330. As the sides of the painting are currently white, should you wish to purchase without a frame, let me know what colour you would like on the sides to match your home.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Born into a family of musicians, authors, actors, photographers and painters, it was natural that life lead me here, poised at the canvas, brush in hand. I live entirely off-grid at my bushland home in rural Victoria with hubby, dogs and a gorgeously prolific vegetable garden.

I use art to express my immense – well, let’s say obsessive – passion for the indigenous landscape, which is easily recognised in my vibrant colourful artworks. Luscious layers of pigment are applied with energy and spontaneity, often switching from brush to palette knife to provide additional texture and depth to my paintings. Recently I have embarked upon a series of paintings using skin tones to further broaden my skills, which you may see in my portfolio.

Like something similar in a different size or using different colours? I am happy to discuss commission requests.

Please note, I do not produce prints or replicas of my artwork.
