Additional Information

This painting is of Australian native black cockatoos, yellow tail, flora and fauna and I have used Watercolours on a stretched watercolour canvas.

Australian Birdlife created with watercolours on a stretched watercolour canvas. Ready to hang.

Products used are:  Daniel Smith  watercolours

The Yellow Tail Black Cockatoo is such a magnificent Australian native bird and we are lucky enough to see them flying free around our home.  Living in the beautiful quiet village of Bundeena NSW AUSTRALIA. A village that nestles on the waters edge of the Royal National Park on the outskirts of Sydney CBD.

I hope you like the delicate soft technique using watercolours and a few bubbles and lots of patience and enjoyment.  I wanted the black cockatoos look happy as a family and playing in The Australian native plants and flowers.

With the black cockatoos a wonderful feeling of flight and freedom.   I love the yellow tailed black cockatoos  gentle, magnificently beautiful faces and their flight with their family and their cry out has been said by friends and Indigenous people of the Royal National Park that the cry is said to be the cry of their lost ancestors calling to them from above.

I give all of myself to my Art and I know when you purchase one of my pieces of Art you will feel the love ooze through into your home keeping you safe and happy.

Watercolours leave no mistakes to be made as they are such an unforgiving medium and I love them for their challenge and techniques I have learnt over many years of watercolours on paper.  The stretched watercolour canvas is really  exciting for me to indulge in trying this new found product.   I must say the watercolours canvases are hard to source in larger sizes but I have found new watercolour grounds and mediums that will allow me to get the same or similar effect as these watercolour canvases.  I will be showcasing these works soon as this will be my next challenge.

I have grown to love and be known as the ‘bird lady’ in our little village of Bundeena NSW and how lucky I am to be able to capture these beauties in my art of  Australian native birds.
