Additional Information

My foray into abstract impressionism. This is an impression of a town map with the bold black lines representing roads, streets and lanes in the town and beyond. The gold background represents the history, the present and the future of mining and agriculture in and around the town.

I decided against using the traditional colours used to depict the blocks, parks etc that are so common in traditional street maps and applied the bold primary colours that Mondrian used in so many of his works. The smattering of gold in the town map represents the influence and the importance of gold mining and agriculture to the community in the past and the present. As you can see “Mondrian’s In Town”.

Sprayed with protective gloss varnish – Edges painted gold.

This painting is signed on the front and a laminated, numbered Certificate of Authenticity is included.

PLEASE NOTE: In the photos, where the painting is shown mounted on a wall, these are purely for illustrative purposes. You should review the dimension of the artwork to be sure the work suits your needs.
