Whenever Summer bestows upon me I am witness to the many holiday goers packing in to my little bay swimming and playing. What would it be like if you had the entire beach to yourself? To be able to swim as far as you want to go and to not be troubled by other swimmers? Then it dawned on me….why not swim at night! Sure, you don’t have the light as in the day but if you were able to swim under moonlight, what would it be like? You would see the beach and the sea in a totally different “light”. It would sure feel calmer and would definitely seem quieter. The reflection on the water could be intoxicating. Hearing the water against your body as you wade out into the cool catching a glimpse of yourself in the moonlight reflection.
These gorgeous mini canvases are my interpretation of such a wonderful experience. The blackness of the backgrounds representing the night with aqua and blue how we see the ocean by day and silver depicting the moonlight reflection on the waters surface and just below.
Quality acrylics used giving long lasting rich pigmentation/lustre. Designed on acid free environmentally unbleached cotton duck, triple coated with universal primer, gallery style folded corners. The surface of the painting is lightly textured in areas adding visual stimulation.
