What can be more fun than trying out a new medium for the first time, especially on a work that changed and changed again. Originally intended to be an abstract landscape in mid earth tones with cascading waterfall into rock pools. It was a dud so pushed to the back corner to dry and rethink this one. Stage Two, was to add some brightly coloured waving grasses to the foreground and tone down the jarring waterfall and pools. Then it became a shambles of conflicting areas that didn’t work together – for me.  Then the post arrived with a new jar of cold wax, couldn’t wait to try it out.  Stage 3, emerged, virtually unrecognisable from the earlier two beneath, was pretty much experimental. I have no idea what it is. With the thick layers mostly with palate knife this work will take approx 3 weeks to dry sufficiently before being able to despatch – available mid October. Can be hung in any direction.

Metamorphosis – the process of transformation from an immature form to an adult form in two or more distinct stages.
