Additional Information

Lone Surfer, Pennington Bay. In December 2019, an outbreak of unprecedented fires burnt in the Flinders Chase National Park. One of the most pristine and untouched National Parks on the planet, where ecologists/environmentalist/locals/and global people have been protecting burnt to the ground.

Pennington Beach is further east and was not touched by the fires,.. yet.  Vivionne Bay held off the southern spread of fire.

This large painting is about the beauty of Pennington Bay, which I sketch and plenair paint regularly. The beautiful colours of the water, the greens and blues and the cliff top beyond.  Surfers look like seals popping up and I hear the jaws music as White sharks are around in the territory.

Thick oil paint, Langridge is my fav, with palette knife to spread a feeling of colour and texture over canvas.

121x91x4cm on hardwood stretchers with brace

Oil, beeswax, Diamond Dust  on canvas.
