Livin’ the Dream.

I mean…..SERIOUSLY?!!?!…..AGAIN?!!

Backed into small dark corner of sweaty primeval fear………..tick,

Wedged between a rock and a hard place……………………………tick,

The usual rubber neckers with pre-fabricated look of horror..tick,

Options??….unattractive as they may currently be…..Hmmm..

Lets see….

Eagle eyed predator to swoop in and pick my bones clean….yeah..nar,

Or

Squeezed until my eyes pop and then swallowed whole…Oh goody!

NEXT!!

Wait for 100 tonne freight train to thunder down the tracks…..late again!….to startle everybody while I scurry away AGAIN!!

Yep! That’s me…Livin’ the Dream.

This particular piece has everything I love about my work – familiar things in an odd kind of context. While you recognise each object individually, you don’t usually see them all together in real life. In this painting they are all held together by the little story above. The colours, the vintage feel and the vast depth and breadth of our country are aspects I like to feature and reflects many of the out of the ways places I have been last year. The sides are painted and it is ready to hang.
