On a recent trip to Italy, I visited my family in the city of Ascoli Piceno in the region of Le Marche. The last time I was in Italy was in 1987, and I had forgotten how it’s landscape is so unique and captivating. Ascoli Piceno is surrounded by little villages that are precariously perched on the edge of a cliff. Tight curvey roads that seem to go on forever eventually lead you to these picturesque villages where you can meander through tight cobblestone streets.
This original abstract landscape represents these villages and their surrounding lush green pastures. It has certainly left a lasting impression on me.
