This artwork is one of a series of sewn drawings representing the female body through fluid and spontaneous line work using thread. Sewing into paper as a form of mark making conveys an intricate and precise process, while fluid thread falling connotes ideas of delicacy and fragility in the work. The small scale of each piece and stitched detail invites the viewer to closer inspect the work and adds to its intimate nature as the subject matter being presented is quite erotic and beautiful focusing on sensual forms of the female (the torso, breasts, hips, legs and stomach).
