Additional Information

This botanical drawing is inspired by my Mimi, my great grandmother, who was an Australian botanist and author of a number of seminal taxonomies such as Australian Wildflowers for the Garden.  I do love traditional botanical drawings, roots and all, and their examination of the whole plant and its biology.  I have not actually inherited the green-thumb gene in any significant way, but the idea of understanding the exact conditions to stimulate the holistic growth of any living thing is surely something to be aspired to.  To be a well-informed nurturer is indeed a special kind of everyday magic.

Unframed limited edition digital print from an original scraperboard artwork by Joanne Stead. Individually numbered and signed by the artist, only 50 prints will be made available. Printed on a quality, textured 250gsm card with a beautiful felt-like finish.  43cm (H) x 31.5cm (W).
