Bird photography – my interpretation of a bird which was sculptured out of Play Doh.

Bird which perches on a branch looking into the distance.

Taken from the series, Nesting.

Birds fly and swoop during Spring to protect the young.  Beautiful and delicate.  Strong and fierce.  Birds come in all shapes and sizes.

Yet, many species are under threat from climate change and humanity.  The death of a species will cause havoc; the loss of beauty and as well as the impact on the climate.

The work presented explores the life of birds from conception. Investigating the life of birds has the intent of promoting the conversation of the impact of species loss on the planet and climate change.

The image was constructed from leaves and sculptured Play Doh bird, placed on a Play Doh support which was lit from beneath to highlight the contrast.

Unframed and printed on Canson 170 gsm paper.

Edition 1 of 2.
