When growing up, my parents would pack up the caravan and along with my brother, we’d head down to the Ninety Mile Beach in Gippsland. Every year we’d camp in our favourite spot along the back of the giant sand dunes. Dad would fish while mum would watch my brother and I playing in the seafoamed water and build countless sandcastles.
One thing I noticed while holidaying there, were the countless surfing waves continuously rolling over and over again. The energy exuding from each wave crashing into shore sending salty sea spray into the air tickling my face and leaving a slight saline taste in my mouth.
There were the ever present Silver Seagulls of course hanging around for any tasty treats we may toss their way. There squawking and squabbling would have us in fits of laughter especially if we did toss a piece of bread to them.
