Additional Information

An original oil painting by Liz Muir with subtle greys, pinks and greens, giving a feeling of calm. This beautiful painting has soft hues describing the trees, scrub, sandstone on the pathway, giving the viewer a calm feeling of serenity.  Avalon is an original oil painting on 10oz canvas with all hanging equipment and heavy duty timber bars.  All products are archival and will give many decades of beauty to the owner.

The process on seeing a beautiful scene is to make a small sketch to decide on colour and mood, then a thin layer of paint provides mood and tone before the final mark making describing the tall trees, branches and foliage.

Liz’s paintings start quite quickly and when the ideas are down, comes in with thick oil for texture then pure pigment and oil glazes for intense colour and sheen, finishing with either oil varnish, damar varnish or resins, methods that are guaranteed to last for decades. Whilst Liz still paints all forms of fine art genre, she is drawn to the impasto impressionist and contemporary using oils on canvas (all products used are archival).
