Additional Information

This new body of work is all about nature and colour. Choosing a selection of colours that perfectly match and supplement each other and then using experimental pouring techniques, I let the acrylic mixture work its magic. I am always surprised that the same colour palette can be used over and over again and still resulting in every single art piece being different as so many factors affect the mixture. The resulting pour decides what the painting will be. The only safe way to create two similar pieces is to pour a piece that is larger than required and then select the most suitable sections to create a Diptych.

My selection of strong red, brown and green colours in this painting created an Australian Landscape almost without much help from me. It just needed to add light and shades to show the mountains, and blue colour was added to make the mountains reach the blue sky. Small pale green bushes and shrubs gave depth to the red soil while three large cells where transformed into Billabong.

These 2 paintings on canvas are framed with a modern white timber frame each 28cm wide by 28cm high. The artwork is finished by a white mat and protected by glass. 2 D-rings and hanging wire are attached to the back and it is ready to hang to brighten up your home.

These paintings are part of the ‘Small is Beautiful’ Exhibition at the Glenrock Gallery, Esk and will only be shipped after the exhibition ends on 5th December 2019
