Karen is a highly sort after collector/investment artist selling both across Australia, England and the USA.
Some have called this painting a perfect example of Australian cultural representation, in fact at a recent Noosa Art Show a teacher approached Karen asking her if he could take a photo saying he was trying to explain to his art students how to do a painting with reference to Australian culture, they were baffled he said, but he said this painting is totally that theme and was super keen to show his students as the perfect example of an Australian culturally themed artwork. For Karen it also typifies the Australian cultural scene, Australia is all about sun and fun, she says, what better way then to represent the excitement surrounding that than painting it.
Karen's last sale was for a painting entitled "The Australian Way", it sold in less an 18 hours so don't wait to long to grab this extraordinary painting. Here's what the purchaser of another work entitled "Hawkin's Landing", a 3 piece extra large painting had to say about commissioning a painting from Karen. - From the client: "Well the painting went down a treat, my wife broke into tears when she saw it, absolutely loved it. Thanks again Karen for a job very well done". B.H (Batemans Bay). A recent email to Karen from England came with this comment about this particular painting Aussie culture, it read "I would like to say that I absolutely love your painting "Aussie Culture". I'm usually not a fan of paintings with people on it, but this painting is absolutely stunning and full of amazing details. It seems to bring out my inner child and I'm sure it looks even more amazing in person. Many thanks for creating this stunning piece of art". (Sue, England). Although this artwork was out of Sue's price range she still took the time to pass on very nice comments which is always appreciated, Sue is currently saving her money to commission a work later in the year.
As with all of her art her inspiration for one work generally comes from a previous work, it's like a migration or an extension of her work, where one painting influences the next and the paintings slowly find new meaning and new content through that. As with most of her paintings Karen is highly influenced by the ocean beaches that surround her on the Sunshine Coast, the joy felt, the beach vibrance, energy and excitement felt by visitors and locals.
Her paintings are done with professional acrylic paints and canvas, she paints the canvas twice to obtain vivid and bright opaque colourations, something to which collectors especially enjoy. Karen's style is original, very unique, whimsical in nature and abstract in design.
Karen enjoys working in large scale and that certainly presents the wow factor on any wall. A painting this large is a feature wall in itself and will have your visitors green with envy. If you enjoy colour than this painting will not disappoint.
Karen is professionally trained doing a Double Major Bachelors Degree From Curtin University in Fine Art and Visual Culture in 2012.
Karen has graced the front cover of International Journal 'The British Psychologist monthly in April 2012.
