Additional Information

This diptych acrylic painting is part of a series of work which  pays homage to the sacred and mystical aura of Uluru,

Central Australia.  On the rare occasions it rains in this arid area, this ancient rock formation transforms into an ethereal monolith,

with a vast, intricately contoured exterior looking more like a shrouded sculpture.  It’s myriad of casisms creating a network of rivers

and waterfalls, plummeting to the thirsty earth below.

The Rock itself has the adaptability to absorb and reflect a glow regardless of the the changing light conditions.  Even in dull rainy

weather it projects a glimmering sheen.

I applied multi layers of transparent acrylic paint in monochromatic tones to focus and highlight on its celestial, imposing presence.
