Additional Information

Yours Sincerely in Orange by Katherine Whelan – Limited Edition Print –  When the going gets tough, the tough get mad. This artwork is part of a series titled: Mad As Hell; it represents some of our consistent frustration with everyday life and the people we deal with. More specifically, the artwork pushes the idea that ‘sometimes there are just no words’. Through the use of deliberately controversial imagery this artwork acknowledges the now extremely popular, highly emotive and non-verbal protest against horrible people; the middle finger up! The middle finger or ‘flipping people off’ is an act that goes as far back as the ever-subversive ancient Greeks. The extension of the middle finger in both theatre and society in general, was used as it is today, to express indescribable/non-verbal displeasure toward someone or something.
