Additional Information

Where the bush meets the sea, 5′ by Kate Wise is the latest in Kate’s series of paintings that juxtapose controlled colour blocking against the willfulness of fluid acrylics. In this work, looking out to sea, at the far horizon, represents looking to the future. The trees in the foreground suggest a barrier, a hiding place, a filter through which to observe the world. This is a place you can sit unseen, unheard and observe the world. Looking through the trees may also represent being held back from embracing the next phase. These are some of the concepts Kate grapples with as she paints. Her interest in fauvism is evident in her use of colours that vibrate against each other to bring the scene to life.

-Original painting measuring 66 x 66 x 3.5 cm

-Artist quality paints on 10 oz triple primed cotton duck canvas with a matte UV varnish

-Unframed, ready to hang or choose a frame at checkout

-Signed Certificate of Authenticity provided and signed on the front bottom right corner

-Carefully packaged in bubble wrap and recycled cardboard so that it arrives safely, ready to enjoy
