Additional Information

We of the Never Never artwork by Meredith Howse. This painting is partly named after a book called We of the Never Never published 1908 by Jeanie Gunnn. This was an significant story about Australian landscape and heroic men and women who lived in out of the way places. A novel which was both impactful and inspiring to my younger self. The descriptions of big landscapes of the Northern Territory are incredible.
Inspired by the colours of the countryside. Here is a sophisticated abstract landscape, with rich deep greens, earthy browns and warm ochre’s. A splash of blue to symbolises our rivers, dams and blue sky’s. A birds eye view point on a well primed textured canvas. Here connections are made between colours and lines.

A rich tapestry of countryside, this painting shows the interconnection of farm life and preservation of our forests and nature. This is an all important balance of life in Australia.
Deep earthy colours of luxurious high pigment acrylic paint on a square canvas, framed in a light coloured raw wood floating frame.
Framed size 95 x 95cm.
