Additional Information

“Waratah number two” by Anica Amphlett is an original watercolour painting using quality watercolour on Saunders Waterford 300gsm paper. The painting measures 27cm x 37cm and is unframed.

If you like the framing in the photo above, please advise the very friendly team at Art Lovers, and I can arrange this for you without delay. The extra cost is $140. The external dimensions would be 43cm x 53cm x 2cm.

Framing consists of an oyster finish timber frame, glass, acid-free mount, foamboard backing and with the certificate of authenticity attached to the back.

This is the second in my series of waratahs this Spring and the model bloom is the same as in the first painting. I am making the most of my beautiful fresh waratahs whilst I can, as nothing lasts forever, especially cut flowers. This year I am really taking notice of their life cycle and will be painting different stages of this beautiful bloom in this current series.

The Waratah (Telopea) is also the state emblem for New South Wales and is mainly found in south-eastern Australia. There are 5 species and more broadly, the waratah fits into the larger Protea family.

Please visit again to see buds, more mature blooms and also seed pods.

I love to paint all things to do with nature, especially flowers, and continually check my work to see if it connects with my soul, as I hope it will connect with yours! My aim is for my paintings to make you feel happy!
