I created this Original series of Art works named Uniquely You.. in 2017.They are striking, colourful, bold and yet alluring and mysterious. They are absolutely definite conversation starters!
This is number 2. I used mixed media on Canvas Oil/Acrylic Paper its size is 61×87 cm.
How this Artwork was realised;
These artworks are a celebration of being the same but different. We all are humans but each and every one of us are unique. It is a celebration of individuality. The colourful backgrounds were heralding our “True Colours” whilst the black and white patterned/striped bodies were inspired by Zebras! Yes Zebras’ I was fascinated to find out that, even though every zebra has black and white stripes no two pattern markings on their hide are the same, they are like fingerprints. This Uniquely You series allowed me to ponder my own self perception and learn to accept and embrace my own individuality. It allowed me to be more comfortabe in my ‘own skin”!
These figurative semi surreal artworks would brighten any space as well as remind us to love our uniqueness!
